Our 2023 Expansion in More Detail
If you’ve not yet seen our short video about our expansion, take a look. And if you did see it, watch it again because it more clearly reflects how special this expansion will be.
We’re not just, for example, putting in float pods; we’re putting in float ROOMS, so you won’t feel like you’re sealing yourself into a little box! And instead of a pink salt room, ours will be white. White Himalayan salt rooms are rare, but the white form is purer than the pink.
And we only want the best (and most comfortable) for our clients!
Here’s more information about these new exciting treatments:
FLOAT ROOMS
A sensory deprivation room, also called an isolation room or flotation room, is used for restricted environmental stimulation therapy (REST). It is dark and soundproof and filled with a foot or less salt water.
(But note: you’ll actually be in charge of the sound and lighting so you can go in full sensory deprivation, or you can have some soothing light and sound the whole time or diminish it all as you get more and more relaxed.)
Studies in peer-reviewed journals suggest time spent floating in a sensory deprivation room may have some benefits in healthy people, such as muscle relaxation, better sleep, a decrease in pain, and decreased stress and anxiety.
In our current culture, we’re being exposed to traumatic events regularly, and float rooms help to decrease our fight/flight response, decreasing the impact on our immune system.
WHITE HIMALAYAN SALT ROOM
Our salt room will be the next level, using white Himalayan salt, which is purer than the usual pink variety you may have seen or experienced.
According to WebMD, Halotherapy, or salt therapy, involves breathing in air with tiny salt particles to improve your breathing. Halotherapy is an alternative treatment for lung problems such as asthma, bronchitis, and cough.
Salt is a natural and safe ingredient. It does not have any notable side effects. It is also:
- Mucoactive, clearing up mucus from your airways
- Antibacterial, helping prevent infections
- Anti-inflammatory
- Immunity-boosting
- Anti-allergic
Research has found that because of these properties, halotherapy can be used as part of the treatment of Lung infection, Throat infection or pharyngitis, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Smoking-related breathing problems, Respiratory allergies, Asthma, Bronchitis, Cold or cough, Pneumonia, Sinusitis, Rhinitis, Tonsillitis, Cystic fibrosis, and more.
And, of course, with Covid and its long-term lung problems, many long haulers are seeking this type of treatment.
The salt room is also meditative and stress relieving.
Cryoskin machine
A Cryoskin machine can be used for slimming, contouring, and lifting, as well as with our more traditional massage therapy modalities to decrease recovery time by decreasing inflammation in clients suffering from chronic pain issues and injuries.
This machine provides safe and easy fat reduction, slimming, and body contouring. Using cold, the Cryoskin can slim, tone, reduce the appearance of cellulite and dimpling, and lift, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
BioMat Acoustic with Amethyst
Biomat is an FDA-approved medical device shown in studies to improve muscle and joint pain and arthritis.
We can use the Biomat in conjunction with our other services.
Our BioMat Acoustic transmits vibrational pulses. Through neural entrainment, these pulses support new brainwave patterns associated with rest, comfort, peacefulness, and sleep. And when combined with the already impressive effects of the BioMat treatment, the result is even deeper levels of relaxation to completely transform the mind and body.
This particular Biomat also incorporates Amethyst.
AND MORE!
I know, right? All of that already seems like SO MUCH, but we’re constantly coming up with more ways to surprise you and take the most excellent care of you all.
Here’s to 2023 and beyond!
