Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Your wellness journey starts with feeling informed. We know trying a new service can come with questions—and we’re here to make the process simple. From choosing the right massage to understanding our Wellness Lounge experiences, we’ve gathered answers to some of the questions we hear most often.
General
What types of massage do you offer?
What's the difference between a Swedish Massage and a Deep Tissue Massage?
Do I need to know which massage is right for me?
Not at all! Tell us what you’re experiencing—whether it’s pain, stress, headaches, muscle tension, or simply the need to relax—and we’ll recommend the best therapist and service for your needs.
Are your massage therapists licensed?
Yes! All of our massage therapists are licensed professionals with their own specialties, experience, and techniques.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We operate by appointment only. Same-day appointments are often available, but it is required that you schedule ahead.
How do I book an appointment?
You can schedule online 24/7 or call/text our office during front desk hours.
Is massage therapy covered by insurance?
We do not bill insurance for massage therapy. However, if you’ve been involved in an auto accident, we work with Right Move Chiropractic and can provide massage therapy through their referral process when appropriate.
First Visit
What should I expect during my first massage?
Your therapist will discuss your health history, any areas of concern, and your goals for the session before beginning your massage. Your comfort is always our priority.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever is comfortable. Your therapist will explain what clothing, if any, should be removed for your service, and you’ll always be properly draped throughout your massage.
Do I have to completely undress?
No. You should only undress to your comfort level. Your therapist can work around clothing if needed.
Will the massage hurt?
Not necessarily. Deep therapeutic work can sometimes feel intense, but it should never be unbearable. Always communicate with your therapist so they can adjust the pressure.
Should I talk during my massage?
That’s entirely up to you! Some clients enjoy conversation, while others prefer a quiet, relaxing experience.
Should I tip my massage therapist?
Tipping is never required, but it is always appreciated! If you enjoyed your experience and would like to recognize your therapist’s care, you’re welcome to leave a gratuity. The standard tip for massage services is typically 20%, but the amount is always completely up to you.
What should I do after my massage?
Drink plenty of water, take it easy if you can, and listen to your body. Mild soreness after deeper therapeutic work is normal and should fade within a day or two.
Appointments & Policies
How early should I arrive?
We request that you arrive no earlier and no later than 5-10 minutes before your appointment time to allow time to fill out any required paperwork and answer any intake questions your therapist may have.
What if I'm running late?
Please call us as soon as possible. We’ll do our best to accommodate you, but your session may need to be shortened so we can stay on schedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
We respectfully ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice for any appointment cancellation or rescheduling request.
Can I request a specific therapist?
Absolutely! You’re welcome to book with your favorite therapist or ask us for a recommendation.
Can couples receive massages together?
Yes! We offer couples massages in the same room so you can relax together.
How often should I get a massage?
It depends on your goals! For ongoing pain or tension, your therapist may recommend visits every 1–2 weeks. For general wellness and stress relief, many clients benefit from a massage every 3–4 weeks. We’ll help you find a schedule that works best for you.
