Owner/Therapist/Chronic Pain Specialist

Practicing Since 2003

A 2003 Graduate of Great Lakes Institute of Technology, Heather Hart began her career at the Hamot Wellness Center and local salons. In 2005 she teamed up with a local chiropractor, which allowed Heather to deepen and expand her horizons and gave her the opportunity to learn how to work with clients that had specific soft tissue dysfunctions. This experience also focused her work more on alleviating pain and correcting muscle imbalances. In May of 2010, she launched her own practice, A Compassionate Hart Massage Therapy.

In the fall of 2011, Heather received her Reiki Master Teacher Certification in the field of Energy Medicine. Her mission is to help clients attain a true Mind/Body/Spirit integration and to live more consciously and comfortably within their bodies. Through massage and relaxation, her clients embark upon a journey of inner discovery and deep healing.

Heather dedicated 6 years to the patients of Great Lakes Home Hospice, where she found some of the most rewarding work of her career thus far. With the launching of her own practice in 2010, she continued to specialize in working with hospice and the elderly. Heather also loves animals, and eventually, she and her dog, Brewster, started doing therapeutic work together. After his passing, Heather continues working for and with animals, including doing canine massage and reiki, helping animals, for example, who suffer from arthritis and pain issues.

In the winter of 2011, Heather started taking movement art classes, which has only enhanced her skills as a practitioner. Along with taking horseback riding lessons, learning archery, taking cooking classes, and volunteering at the Erie Playhouse to learn more about theatre, Heather’s passion to live life to the fullest spills in to her work and brings you a unique experience every time you are on her table. She is honored and privileged to offer you her skills, passion, and energy to enhance not only yours but her day as well!

VIRGO
“I am a Virgo – The Virgin – need I say more? Virgos are known for being dedicated, resourceful,
helpful, hardworking, and witty. I love the witty part! Virgos can also be overcritical of
themselves…this I do struggle with.”

Favorite Playlist

“I’m child of the 90’s and love grunge type rock n roll and just pure rock n roll all together. My fave bands (and what my list would be full of) are Led Zeppelin, Tool, and a little more on the hippie side, the Avett Brothers.”

EARTH
“Which is the Virgo sign as well. I’m extremely grounded and operate well on this plane of
earth.”

Get to know Heather even better…

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and what would you talk about? Where and what would you be eating?

“I think I would start with my Grandma on my Mom’s side. She passed away when I was about 6. I often have dreams of her and she comes through quite a lot in readings and prayers. I would love to meet her, I think she has influenced me (from a distance) a lot.

Little girl me – to tell her not to worry so much…you become a badass.

Future me – so she can tell me not to worry so much…you become even more of a badass! ha!”

If you could not be a massage therapist, what other job do you have DAY DREAMS of doing?

“My secret secret dream is to be a stand up comedian! I love to make people laugh…and help them to not take life too seriously.”
