Laila knew she wanted to be in the medical field in some way. Because of her big, compassionate heart, she was specifically interested in working with the elderly to help combat all too common elder abuse. But then she figured out that going into anything like nursing would probably involve blood, and, well, she also discovered she thinks blood is, to quote her, “kinda gross.”
So thanks to blood and a full sonography program when she was looking to get into school, she’s now a massage therapist and thinks this is the perfect fit because she loves to learn new things and has a hard time thinking of herself inside a tight box when it comes to her career. In the massage therapy world, there are so many things to explore, learn, and do.
In high school, Laila maintained super high grades and was Vice President of student government. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, did a ton of volunteer work, and thought she would go into business and finance but figured out that she needed something more active.
We’re super excited to watch Laila grow and see how she evolves.

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and what would you talk about? Where and what would you be eating?
“Both of my maternal grandparents: my abuelito passed away in 2018, and my grandma passed away in 2021. They were my rocks, and they will forever be my favorite people.
The third person I would have dinner with would definitely have to be Bad Bunny. He just never misses! He’s a great artist and I’d love to have the honor of meeting him someday!”
If you could not be a massage therapist, what other job do you have DAY DREAMS of doing?
If she weren’t a massage therapist, for no reason understandable to herself, Laila would love to own a laundromat. Perhaps it’s her business brain, calling her to entrepreneurship.
